Animals Around Our House

Our house in Bali has many animals around it—feasting, sniffing, hopping, rustling and slithering. The first animal is around our house is the called red-bellied lizard, even though it has a yellow belly. Then there are the spiders. The most common one is the Golden Orb spider, which is also the largest. It is named the Golden Orb because its web is goldenish. You can only see the gold from the side.

Next is the roosters. They are all around our house, crowing. They love to eat the offerings of banana leaves with rice that the old ladies leave out. Sometimes they come near enough to go under our porch when it's raining.

Next are the butterflies. They are everywhere in the sky. I've seen red, green, blue, black and yellow ones. My dad had one on his shirt that didn't want to come off. It had eyes on its wings to scare away predators. The last animal is the ruthless, blood-sucking, cruel mosquito. There's nothing else to say about them except they are very fast, like the flies, and one is biting me now!

  1. Hi Ihno! Cool! the owl is so tiny and cute! The iguana is pretty big. Oh, and of course. The ruthless, blood sucking, cruel mosquito is, well, ruthless, blood sucking, and cruel. Get well soon! <^..^>
