Trip to temple of giant Budha

We went to this amazing temple that is known for it's giant 42 karat gold Buddha. The name of the temple is Wat Po. It was like a maze - there were different small temples inside. In certain special ones you had to take off your shoes to be respectful to the Buddha. It was crowded and I got a cramp in my foot. This is the Buddha's head.

This is a sleeping Buddha.

(It doesn't look like he's sleeping)

  2. Wow! That great temple sounds huge! I should have found out about it for my school project on Buddhism earlier this year. I never knew that you had to de-shoe your self as a sign of respect. That is really too bad you got a cramp in your foot. Have fun! -Zeke

  3. Don't you think it is weird that you have to de-shoe your feet in the temple?
In the last picture how were those toes? There were twenty of them and they didn't look anything like toes. -Gabriel
